In the quiet little southern town of Benton, Tennessee lies the most unique sculpture garden one will ever find. Figures which can only be described as a blending of the works of H.R. Giger and Dr. Seuss, with a touch of Lewis Carol for good measure,  hold implements whose fantastic purpose can only be imagined, guarding the entrance to the dwellings and workshop of Danny Hoskinson, more commonly known in the arts community by the epithet "The Bucket Man".

Danny is a well-renowned folk artist with works in collections and exhibits scattered across the nation. While his creations are truly amazing, it's the peculiarity of the process by which they are created which has attracted so much attention. All of his sculptures are formed from plastic buckets, utensils, and various other polymeric trappings.

The process of melting the materials into a usable medium is almost as interesting to watch as the actual formation of his beautiful, organic, sometimes borderline-chaotic works. The phrase "there is a method to this madness" enters the mind as skilled hands, bearing tools as diverse and frightening as those his guardian-creatures posess, deftly give shape to what would become a pile of goo in any other situation.

"His creations earned a blue ribbon for best in show at the monte sano art show."
